If done correctly it should be fine, however the only thing to worry about is damaging the hub spindle and making it unbalance.

I think most of those idol discs came out for the Saturn, didn't they? So less danger with a PS1.Hateshinai wrote:The swap trick by itself will not make you blind.
However, if you masturbate while doing the swap trick you will definitely go blind. It has happened to my brother's friend's cousin's former room-mate. True story.

I have one of the SNES versions; it was made for RPGs and sims that don't need a lot of buttons or fast movement. I bought it when I was playing FFV and while it's novel, I just couldn't grasp playing one-handed.Hateshinai wrote:Was there really a market for that controller? Oh. I thought it was a valid question. A high-speed DVD burner's laser could easily damage your eyes in burning mode, and with a different laser diode can be made to burn stuff from a distance. As mentioned, if the focal point of a PS1 laser were calibrated for the right distance and pointed at your eye it could probably still do some damage.Niode wrote:Correct.
Regarding the ascii grip; I had one a long time ago and used it with a controller extension and the Winamp joystick control plugin to change songs and drink at the same time at a house party. With 2 of them and the right game you could play with yourself - er against yourself.
