By the time the 'Lite' and 2K versions come out in a year or so, they'll be better designed, have the bugs worked out, they'll cost less & have a affordable game library worth buying. Then I'll compare and make my choice.

I think the better course is to wait for the price to come down, for hardware revisions to come out, and for enough software to be developed to be able to make an informed decision about which is the superior console for you.
I like the way you think!

I'm with those who plan to buy regular DS's and PSP's when the new systems launch. The generation prior to what's current is always the easiest to quickly and cheaply build a collection for.

It depends what kind of games you're into. I voted both. The 3DS has announced games I'd never expect on a Nintendo handheld (Saint's Row, Metal Gear, Resident Evil), and I can't wait to play Mario Kart 3D and Zelda 3D. Eventually, Sony's NGP will have a GTA San Andreas or GTA 4 remake, which I've been waiting forever for on PSP, and possibly the next great portable Metal Gear game (after Peace Walker :))

I am honestly interested in both, but I am going to wait until I can see some new, interesting software running on the NGP before I mmake a purchase decision. Also, the NGP is probably going to be more expensive than the 3DS by quite a bit, so I will wait until a big price drop,m and maybe a bundle before I buy. As for the 3DS, I'm camping out for it! :D

Hm, 3DS, or NGP? I think I'll get the one Valve starts making games for.

I want to try both but I'll be waiting until at least the end of this year (2011) to pick up either.

The 3DS for novelty's sake and because I am a Nintendo fan through and through.

The PSP2 because I've admired from afar the PSP[1]'s recent releases and the idea of twin analog sticks, 3G, and such high pixel density on the go is really enticing.

Im going to get the 3DS at launch, but Im going to wait for the NGP to have a slim or redesign model. I like the way the 3DS looks as it is.
