I love Mario Kart but unfortunately I'm not a fan of the DS version. I have all games in the series (bar Super Circuit on the GBA) and I think that the Gamecube version is the best. I have some sort of magic luck, that even when the cards are down I can still come back. Its seriously is really strange.
But they are all awesome games. A few weeks ago some friends and I played days of the N64 versions on end. Its just so great for multiplayer. Especially on the VC as well, the Gamecube's smooth analogue stick does the game perfect justice.

Re: My Latest Addiction: Mario Kart DS
My gf and I have had it since it came out. We play local wi-fi but I don't play online because I can't snake and it seems cheap. I'd say after SMK on the SNES, this is my favorite version (MKDS, SMK, MK64, MKDD).racketboy wrote:I was skeptical that the game would be worthy of all the scores that essentially made it the top DS game.
But after playing it for a while and unlocking a number of courses, I can honestly say its amazing.
My wife and I have a great time doing VS and I have been trying to get first place on the single-player Grand Prix to unlock all the cool tracks.
I would put it up there with F-Zero GX as my favorite racing game.
Anybody else have the game?
I'm very excited about Mario Kart Wii too~
I haven't done the online yet because the DS only supports the first WEP key and my router is set to the 3rd one and I don't yet feel like reseting all the wifi stuff in my house just for me to play onlinewyatt wrote:I was planning on getting this to play with my wife tomorrow. She is new to her DS and loves multiplayer more than anything. I love other Mario Karts. Have you tried the online? I was wondering if it suffered at all, like crossing the line first but losing from lag or whatever. We may have to battle, racket.
Someday though

You'd probably get your tail kicked trying to play on the scary Internet with other online DS-ers.racketboy wrote:I haven't done the online yet because the DS only supports the first WEP key and my router is set to the 3rd one and I don't yet feel like reseting all the wifi stuff in my house just for me to play onlinewyatt wrote:I was planning on getting this to play with my wife tomorrow. Trust me, I'd know from getting blasted away in Metroid Prome Hunters. X_X
I used to play this game online a lot, but i stopeed playing a few months ago cause i just got too pissed off with all the snakers and people using AR.
It really pisses you off when you're in first place, almost at the finish line and then some twonkpot cuts across the middle of the course and snags the victiory!

Probably true. I would only play with people I know online or something....Anayo wrote:You'd probably get your tail kicked trying to play on the scary Internet with other online DS-ers.racketboy wrote:I haven't done the online yet because the DS only supports the first WEP key and my router is set to the 3rd one and I don't yet feel like reseting all the wifi stuff in my house just for me to play onlinewyatt wrote:I was planning on getting this to play with my wife tomorrow.
