seriously, this thread is killing me
ditto! it almost makes me glad when there aren't new games that i want to play being released, since there's already so much great stuff to catch up on.

I'm not gonna lie, I call myself a classic gamer but yet I have never played a lot of the stuff that's here, which hurts my pride a little. The most prominent of which is Final Fantasies 1-12, which is a bit depressing to me.

Eventually I'll go through the thread, copy/paste everything I haven't played, get chewed, and then go on an eBay buying spree.
Out of the last ten posts though (thanks preview!) here's what I haven't played:

Metroid Prime 2 and 3
Castlevania (all of them)
Okami
Final Fantasy 1-12
Dragon Warrior/Quest (though IX looks great)
Half-Life
Chrono Trigger/Cross
Vagrant Story
Xenogears
Breath Of Fire series
Banjo series
Beyond Good and Evil
And other PS2 classics like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

Nintendo games. I don't play them. I just never had a Nintendo console. Never finished a Mario game, never played them for more than half an hour, to be honest. I don't think I'm missing much. I understand the appeal, it's not for me. The music is annoying. Big exception are Zelda games. I do like Ocarina of Time, and, though I never finished it because it's too damn long, A Link to the Past is also excellent. Also, Pokémon. Other than these, I don't really have much of a clue when it comes to Nintendo.

Never played the Sonic games too much either, even though I had a Mega Drive growing up. I just thought I missed out on too much of the game because of the speed and different paths. I was a Mega Man kid through and through.

Actually, open world games don't hold my interest. I've never finished a GTA game, despite owning a lot of them. I just start the game, see that I have no interest whatsoever in anything of what's happening and put them away. Symphony of the Night is kind of like the same.

Since I've never been a PC gamer, I missed out on most classic first-person shooters. I'm remedying that now that I'm mostly a Steam gamer.

And yet you never had a Nintendo console?

If Zelda is good for you, it might be worth your time to check out a few of the Metroid games and see if you like any of them. They have a similar style of game progression to the Zelda games.

Someday I would like to complete Final Fantasy IX. I just don't have the time lately, and the game is 4 discs long. Made it to the 2nd disc though, and the game is absolutely amazing.
