Up until two weeks ago I had never played Street Fighter II but I finally go around to it. I've also never played Half Life. I have it for PS2 but I do just need to sit down one time and work my way through it.

Re: confess: what classic game have you not played but should
i totally get what you're saying with that. a lot of the games i haven't finished was due to getting to some boring point that made me not want to continue. but even though i wasn't bowled over with the games that i felt i "should" play (e.g. ico,FF6, RE4), they were all worthwhile experiences and def. make me feel like more of an expert on video games and vg history. and for me there's a big difference between seeing a game through to the end vs just playing the first few levels.dsheinem wrote:The verdict for me was that even though some of the games were deserving of their praise (Bonk, PZ2), I actually didn't like most of these "great" games that I had been "neglecting" for so long (Ico, SOTN, Nights, etc.). You may be surprised to find yourselves in the same boat...maybe you haven't played that classic because deep down, yous suspect you won't like it!

I didn't like half life 1 as much as half life 2. I'd skip half life 1. Half life 2s story is way better plus the oXbox version looks a lot better than ps2. Or if you have a ps3/360, the get the orange box.Croooow! wrote:Up until two weeks ago I had never played Street Fighter II but I finally go around to it. I've also never played Half Life. Honestly, I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. Not on the matter of taste, but on recommending that one skip the first Half-Life entirely. There's a story being woven here, you see, and it gains alot more traction with the player if they are familiar with the world. I would recommend playing both... the first one isn't very long, and it's a great piece of gaming history. Heck, if the Black Mesa: Source mod ever comes along, spring for that!SwooshBear wrote:I didn't like half life 1 as much as half life 2. I'd skip half life 1.
