Metroid. Played it very briefly 15 or so years ago.

Shenmue.

River City Ransom.

And the furthest I ever got in Ocarina in Time was beating the Forest Temple, and that was in the last few years, but on my original game save from 1997. And I only got that far because my friend beat the whale level for me. The strategy guide confused the shit out of me.

River City is amazing, especially in co-op mode.

There are some people who will string me up for this, but I've never beaten Super Metroid.

I bought it on Virtual Console ages ago, played a bit, and just couldn't work up the enthusiasm to continue. I've thought that buying an original snes copy might help me care more, but every time I come across a copy, I think about it for a moment, then say "eh" and buy something I actually want instead.

Its apparently sacrilege for me to say this among Metroid fans, but my favorite Metroid games were the GBA titles, Fusion in particular.

Also, its worth mentioning that I've never beaten any of the Resident Evil games. Closest I got was helping my cousin play through REmake and RE0 on GC years ago, and that was a miserable chore for me the whole way through. When survival horror was big (and when I was still interested in it) I was always a Silent Hill man.

I'm willing to try Super Metroid again, and one day I will get around to it, but I will never attempt to finish the Resident Evil games. I really just can't stand them.

Games that I've wanted to but never did:

Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I've owned it for YEARS, but never bothered to even finish the first part where you're inside the big tree. I just couldn't get into it)
Zelda: Wind Waker (I skipped the GCN)
Zelda: Twilight Princess (I own it, but haven't gotten around to playing it past where you get the horse at the beginning)
Super Mario Sunshine (again, I skipped the GCN)
F-Zero GX (GCN...)
Wave Race: Blue Storm (GCN...)
Metroid Prime I, II, III (GCN... I own III on the Wii, but haven't gotten to playing it...)
Panzar Dragoon Saga (I've owned it(!), but never got around to playing it for more than an hour)
Phantasy Star (I've owned MULTIPLE versions of this on different systems (SMS, Mega Drive, GBA, PS2, PS3), but just never got into it. I have finished PSII, III and IV...)

I still need to play Beyond Good and Evil. That's mildly retro right? It's certainly cult.

I'd be proud of myself if I got around to playing Illusion of Time/Gaia and Terranigma. I beat Soul Blazer.
