When I say easy, I mean the game gives you the option to continue whenever you lose a battle...but it feels like such a fun little mini-RPG to me. I love switching out your weapons to interact with the environment in it. Plus, it's a FF where I can jump. Probably helps that 16-bit RPGS are my favorites.
I read through this thread waiting for someone to bring this up. I believe that this was the first one that I ever completed. I call it a confidence builder. One that I thought was easy for the PS1 was Guardian's Crusade.

On the PC side, the original Baldur's Gate and Fallout were pretty easy in my opinion and still amazing RPGs. Landmark titles.

My dad's been playing the original Baldur's Gate lately, and he quickly completed it, even though it was his first RPG.

So I guess I'm saying I agree with you?
