Sheldon is an overused, ridiculous character who is too relied on to carry the show to me. That said, I still enjoy the show well enough.

x2, i think he's the least funny of the characters. too over the top resulting in not funny. still love the show though.

I love this show alot, but I think it's slowly going downhill. It seems sometimes the show focuses way too much time on Sheldon, and at this point I am waiting for him to water ski over a shark.

Yeah. Season 2 had some of the best jokes, with the Sheldon-Penny scenes, but that grew old as well. Now they are making a lot of "they are gay" jokes with Howard and that Kuthrapoli (have no idea how that guy's name is spelled)

I do still think Sheldon is the best one on the show.

For me the worst part is the whole Penny vs David-From-Roseanne dynamic. And maybe I just think it's bad casting, but I think of her as the bimbo sister from that Simple Rules show and I think of him as well... David-From-Roseanne, so it feels weird to me. Like they both feel like forced characters to me, and I find it hard to believe that she'd hang out with any of those dudes. Then again, I'm a geek and my wife's hot so shit does happen I guess. But just not on TV. Also remember when Dan Connor got so mad at David he punched a hole in the wall? That's classic.

This show really irritates me - All the characters are just annoying. Well maybe that was the point, but still.

Amazing show, and it is great that it is doing so well! It is not often that us nerds get our own sitcom (that lasts) easily one of my favorites along with Two and a Half Men (also Chuck Lorre)-- and to whoever was talking about the IT crowd- it is a great show as well, but I really don't think the two shows compare, except that they are about nerds

No, all I see are [censored] stereotypes of "nerds" for a mainsteam audience that watches CBS primetime

Terrible show.

It's kind of strange they don't have a fat character.
