Re: Modified Gamecube Controller
Geez you guys are fast.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Re: Modified Gamecube Controller
I had checked a silver one and it had white on both sides.Ziggy587 wrote:Yeah, I noticed that too. But I'm pretty sure the traces for the A and B buttons were on the other side. I only looked at it for a few seconds, but I'm pretty sure. Did your controller have that white laminate on both sides? Mine only had it on the one side.
Did you just carefully grind to get to the trace?jinn wrote:Just finished modding a GC controller and it's working great. If you need some one to mod it for you let me know or I can sell you mine. PM me if interested

Always that one more mod. Maybe add a small toggle switch to select A B layout.

I used an X-Acto knife to cut the trace and then expose a bit of copper to solder the wire.Hobie-wan wrote:I had checked a silver one and it had white on both sides.Ziggy587 wrote:Yeah, I noticed that too. I'll check to see if I have a switch that will fit and work with this mod.CRTGAMER wrote:Always that one more mod. Maybe add a small toggle switch to select A B layout.

I know I have some laying around but I'm not sure if they are small enough.bacteria wrote:A small 2P2T switch would do the job fine.

Re: Modified Gamecube Controller
Maybe use DIP switches to flush mount on the back of the controller some where so you don't have a switch sticking out.
