I completely forgot about that. Blast from the past, one of the first PS1 games I ever played.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

I like them, but I don't know how well they have held up today.
I should dig em back out to find out...

Bushido Blade 1, honestly, holds up a lot better than 2.

Yep....BB2 has the worst story mode I've ever seen. The dialog was a waste of disk space, they should of concentrated on the fighting system.

BB1 is great fun!

I think the best games on PS1 are RPGs.
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy IX
- Grandia
- Legend of Legaia
- Star Ocean: Second Story
- Tales of Destiny II/Tales of Eternia JP

Then there's some classic non RPGs too
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (action/RPG/side scroller)
- Crash Bandicoot 2 (platformer)
- Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (platformer)
- Einhander (2D/3D Side scrolling shooter)
- Final Fantasy Tactics (strategy/RPG)
- Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (my favorite survival horror game)
- Soul Blade (fighting)
- Street Fighter Alpha 3 (2D fighting)
- Tekken 3 (fighting)

A few underrated gems:
- Activision Classics (compilation of some great old school stuff)
- Breath of Fire IV (maybe the most underrated RPG on the PS1)
- Front Mission 3 (strategy/RPG with mechs!)
- One (what Contra on PS1 should have been)
- Suikoden (RPG)

The story mode in BB1 is pretty weird, too, what with the honor system and all, but it's FANTASTIC fun with two players. Oh man.
