If so, in what regard....?
Programmer?
Level Designer?
Artist?
Writer?
Sound Engineer?
Journalist?
I remember back in High School I used to think it would be the coolest to be a game programmer. Of course, back then I had a very limited knowledge of programming. As a computer science major in college, I quickly realized programming games would require more brainpower than I was up for.
When I started this site I thought I might want to eventually be a full-time game writer/journalist, but after almost 4 years of doing this, I've decided that what I'm doing now is the extent of my writing ambitions. I would easily grow tired of writing about games as a full-time job. I like balancing my current day job with this site. It's a nice balance. When I get tired of one, I can take comfort in the other.
I also love doing graphic design, but I don't have the serious skills to do anything impressive. After rounding up all the game artwork for my art posts, I realize I'm next to worthless in that arena.
Now that I think of it, I hope I'm not discouraging anyone with this post. Keep in mind, I'm a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none type of guy. I'm sure many of you have more specific and focused strengths.
