Well, I finished Lara Croft and the Guadian of Light in single player on the PS3. Great game overall but it kind of falls apart in the last few levels where whoever designed the game goes into full on douchebag mode. The last boss is one of the most annoying boss battles I've ever had the misfortune of playing. They basically swarm you with enemies, while the boss attacks you with annoying attacks and, oh yeah, don't forget the one hit kill spikes that keep randomly popping out of the floor
On top of that, there's like fifty thousand phases to the battle. Is he dead yet? No. Is he dead yet? No. Is he dead yet? No. GODDAMNIT!!! The last boss fight is a big clusterfuck, a total mess, and an awful way to close out the game
There was also an annoying area near the end of the game where you have to move a ball through a maze while fighting a bunch of annoying enemies that keep respawning and also dealing with exploding rocks that keep randomly falling out of the sky. Like a lot of games, the designers clearly went overboard in trying to make the game challenging towards the end, the mark of amateurish design.
Aside from the crap last level or two and one of the shittiest end bosse battles I've ever seen, most of the game is great. The puzzles are not too hard, but not so easy you feel insulted, the platforming is solid and combat is the best combat in the entire history of the franchise. This is the ONLY Lara Croft game in history where fighting enemies is actually kind of fun. There are lots of cool optional challenges in the game and hidden items to find for replay value. The equipment system is fairly good as the items can boost your stats or make your bombs more useful(by widening the area of effect or increasing their damage)and there are lots of fun weapons to use and the game has a cool power up system where after you kill a certain number of enemies your weapons gain a power based on what items you have equipped, but you lose it if you take damage. This game really has an old school, arcade like feel to it where you're actually encouraged to dodge enemies and attacks and actually NOT take damage, unlike other Tomb Raider games where taking damage is pretty much a given
I'd probably give the game an 8 out of 10 overall. It's certainly more original and inspired than Tomb Raider: Underworld was. Not that Underworld was bad, but it didn't do much to differentiate itself from both Tomb Raider Legend AND Tomb Raider Anniversary
