2011 Gaming and Collecting Goals
Re: 2011 Gaming and Collecting Goals
J T, checking your Steam games, I really laughed that you didn't log one hour on most of them and SF4 has 111 hours of play. You didn't play 10 hours of any other game.

Shit, dude, I don't have time to play games. It's too much work finding deals and buying them all. There's no time left over.

I guess I do have a problem.

There, there, we all know how you feel. Steam can be a harsh mistress.

Re: 2011 Gaming and Collecting Goals
My goal for the year collecting-wise is to collect more lesser-known consoles + games for them, get my hands of Earthbound, EVO, and also the 3DS when that comes out, show some more love for my first real collected console and games, the n64, and just win a lot more of the games I add to the collection. Gaming presents a lot of fun nostalgic memories for me. I plan on getting back more of the games I used to rent all the time with my brothers too for nostalgia's sake. Fun memories! Power Rangers, Wayne's World, Bugs Bunny's Rabbit Rampage, Judgement Clay, and Beavis and Butthead for the SNES, I"m lookin at you guys.

Midwest Gaming Classic is an electronic entertainment tradeshow, not a retro gaming event. While we certainly have a strong foundation in retro, we are specifically geared to be from retro to present. In fact, the Classic in the title refers to everything being a classic to somebody, whether it was released this past year or 20 years ago.
Glad you enjoy the show regardless.

Well, I met a personal goal today. I now officially have 200 games completed in my Backloggery profile! But there's lots more where that came from.

Re: 2011 Gaming and Collecting Goals
This year I want to focus less on buying games and focus more on obtaining more consoles. Right now, I only own one console, the NES top loader, and games for it.
