2010 is over, how'd you do?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Family's busy doing stuff. Family is the most important so I keep working to make everyone's situation better. I got a new nephew, and my niece is legal now (sister in law's deadbeat ex was being difficult so I found a legal way to coerce him into transferring rights). I've been introducing her to Miyazaki movies and training her in Mario and Megaman platforming skills. She's getting better but she'll need more training to beat her uncle. My dad is nearly done converting his '72 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme into a 442 - A few more parts to replace to make it authentic - they're hard to find authentic, good condition, and at a decent price . I read through 90% of the CWNA CWSP books and could challenge certificates but it's for my already established company so it's just a pact I made with my partners to complete the reading once I found the books existed, and bought them for the best interest of the company. We're all better off as a result and have begun optimizing our network using a wifi spectrum analyser. We've started our plans to expand - 2 datys ago we signed a contract for dual T3 lines to our base server and plan to use parabolic highly-directional dishes procured from dissatisfied Starchoice former subscribers to transfer high-speed signal to other areas of the valley. Book-fiction-wise I read the latest book of the dark tower series. It's not the same without Frank Muller reading it. I had previously listened the the audio-books since one of my older jobs was so mundane I could listen to 2 books a week, but after his motorcycle accident the books seems empty and crappy. Aside from literary and career-expanding endeavors it's been an awesome year of videogaming. The highlights of my video gaming pursuits are Super Meat Boy, Earth Defense Force 2017, Pacman Champion Edition DX, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Cave Story Wii, Mega Man 10, Scott Pilgrim the game, and Pixel the Cat. I've been playing the @#$% out of them and loving every minute of it. I recently got a 36" SD Wega CRT, that despite a nagging convergence issue on the lower section displays all my retro systems in glorious scanliney goodness like I never imagined. The CSY-2100 Scart-to-Component converter made everything perfect video related without resorting to the XRGB solution. Maybe next year...
Cheers All! I'm gonna drink another beer and pass out.

There's links to the games I beat and movies I watched in my signature.

Keeping a list of books sounds like a good idea - I was considering making a books read 2011 thread. I think I will...

BTW, OCD coming out a bit... Alphabetize your list please~ :P
Actually I keep it in the order I did it in. I find that preferable.

Opened this thread and thought to myself, jeez I really didn't read anything, watch anything and barely played that many games this past year. So, then I thought about it and figured out where all my time went,

Finished my basement and game room
Put in a new brick paver patio w/ fire pit in my backyard
Redid the entire landscaping around my house
Built the wife a new vegetable garden and compost bin
Impregnated the wife

All in all, actually a pretty productive year.

And now that all of that is done, you can spend next year reading books, watching movies, and playing games!

...at least until the kid gets here.

In 2008, after reading Louis L'amour's autobiography, I began writing lists of every book I read, every film I watched, and every game I beat, just to see how much I had actually done and to keep a written record so I could go back and remember some of the things I'd gone through.
That's awesome.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
