Re: Neo-Geo Consoles Question
Unfortunately, I don't get my money until christmas, and all the Consolized MVS's end before christmas on eBay. Is there anywhere else I can buy one?

In my opinion, just buy one one on ebay. There will be more on there, always has been.
But if ebay does not have any, just contact neotropolis.

Make friends with the (no always so) kind folk at Neo-Geo.com. Neotropolis also looks cool!ReddMcKnight wrote:Unfortunately, I don't get my money until christmas, and all the Consolized MVS's end before christmas on eBay. Is there anywhere else I can buy one?

Re: Neo-Geo Consoles Question
if you get an AES, I highly recommend the MVS converter since the games are WAY cheaper on MVS... or just get an MVS cab or consolidated unit. Some of the AES games are extremely limited and thus 10 times more expensive than the MVS counterparts, which are exactly the same.
I had the Neo CD for years, but finally was able to get an MVS cabinet - and loving all the games I finally was able to get that were never released on CD. You won't find any CD games released after 1999 (and even many before that never made it)

Re: Neo-Geo Consoles Question
Converter cost almost as much as a consolized board. Also coupled with the fact it has trouble playing the latter playmore games.

Re: Neo-Geo Consoles Question
If you want to play Most of the Neo-Geo games, stick with the CDZ, but the AES has All of the Neo-Geo games.
AES is gonna be pricey, there just aren't that many out there, and the games are gonna be bad too, but they will be, for all intensive reasons, perfect.
The CDZ though, is 10-100X cheaper, depending on the games, but the load times hurt.
I would get an AES and try to get some of the better games, or rather games you'd play more, for it, but stick with the CDZ for all the rest.
On a side note, I believe there are a couple games that are Neo-Geo CD exclusives, and I think that the AES arcade sticks do work with the CD systems, but I don't remember.
