Anyone interested in Japan?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

 You still have time. I'm really excited about the Shenmue locations! From what I've seen in pictures the places in the game were pretty accurately modeled on the real places......I'm going to ask several people if they've seen some sailors :P
 if your going to do that, I'll be at a empty parking lot shouting "lets get sweaty".
      , I'm sure that could've made it into the game LOL......which parking lot

right where the bus station is, you just walk to the empty parking lot, there should be a option menu that you want to pratice your fighting moves, if you accept, Ryo will say "Lets Get Sweaty", I'm making this up, I laugh my ass the first time I herd it.

THANK YOU!!! That was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! It's one of my favorite games and I have never heard it. Just wish they'd finish the series :(

4 grand is a bit steep for me for this year, but the cherry blossom festival would be awesome.

The cherry blossoms drew a HUGE crowd last year, At the park in Tokyo we couldn't even find a place to sit! Very beautiful though.

That's kinda what I'm thinking.
Especially since my wife quit her job this year.
It's o-so-tempting though :)

:D I understand completely. If it weren't for the Ebay money and the money I make from things bought in Japan it would be tough for me too! Let me know if you guys are ever able and I will pass it on, I will also put a link to the website when it is finished.

I will keep it in mind.
The eBay thing doesn't work well for me as I've already sold off a lot of my stuff before I moved three times.
I'm just now starting to rebuild.

To be honest, 4 grand is really not much for a tour-driven, stay and food (mostly) provided trip. I've already looked around at this kinda stuff and that's in the right neighborhood.

Now, if you go and stay in a youth hostel (not good for married or with kids) and dont' do any tours, just hoof it on your own, you can save a lot of money. But you may also not see a lot of things.

My wife and I were looking at sorta doing a week of touring, whatever, and then spending a few days on our own. Problem is, I'd really like to get down to Hiroshima, or possibly Kyoto, too. It's been a long time since I've been to those places, far longer than Tokyo.
