I had some problems with the dealer that wanted to sell me the "porn star pink" paint. So I went to my local automotive paint dealer and got this paint mixed. Its a combination of vilolete and pink metallic.

I still have to spray about 3 coats of lacquer on the console and then buff it.

i was just curious about painting the controller ports... for a future project...CRTGAMER wrote:![]()
That is a veeeeery nice paint job! The controller ports look great without any paint, avoids headaches of controller plug scratches later.

Wow. Can you give us more detail regarding your tools and techniques?

I am using a normal HVLP spray gun for painting cars. It has a 1,3 mm nozzle. The spray gun is connected to a 380 l compressor.SGGG2 wrote:Wow. Can you give us some detail about your tools and techniques?

This is how it looks like after the first coat of clear. I still have to put 2 more coats on and then buff it.

Im still thinking about what colour to chose for the door. I would like to have the original grey one but unfortunately I have the blue one from the ice console.

Impressive job in the logo! How did you get such a clean masking, or was the black added afterwards?zoki64 wrote:This is how it looks like after the first coat of clear. I still have to put 2 more coats on and then buff it.
