I've raced my real car on the track a many times, and GT5 and FM3 portray about 10% of that realism. The handling on my car in the games is totally different than in real life on the track. So arguing over which one is more realistic is stupid, their both fake as hell.EvilRyu2099 wrote:Not true at all.. Forza is more of an arcade game... GT is more realistic.. Are you even a racer? Do you have idea what it's like to control a car on the tarmac? I think you saying that 170 Mph in this game felt like 40 mph speaks to how much you actually know about racing or racing games for that matter..t0yrobo wrote:lol, and that's why I think they've should've scrapped the other kinds of racing. If you can't get the physics right on asphalt why add dirt, gravel etc, into the mix.
Now can we just agree that GT5 is a great game for driving, but not racing, and Forza is a little better for racing, but not tuning.
As far as crashes go, I don't know what my car sounds like in a real life crash thank god but, I bet you it would make more than a dull, muted thud with barely any damage after crashing it at 100mph. And while the crash effects in Forza 3 are very far from realistic, but its done much better overall.
I think Forza 3 is more fun in the end just because it has more of a arcade racer approach. GT5 is extremely time consuming and feels like a career. All I wanted to do is hit the track with my customized machine and race the shit out of it.
