Voted for consistency and highly animated.

When a game has one highly detailed thing and a undetailed thing, then the illusion of another uniform world is hampered. Even if the graphics are bad, if they are consistent, the visual world is much more convincing.

High amount of animation goes without saying.

Best graphics for games, in my opinion? Sonic 3, Mario 64, Comix Zone, Mark of the Wolves, Karous/Radilgy/Ikaruga, Ogre Battle 64, Golden Sun.

I didn't vote. There was no check box for nudity.

It really annoys me how much "modern" gamers think of graphics. A guy who I actually respected on a PS3 forum, said he doesn't consider the DS hardcore, but he says that the iphone got a great hardcore game with Rage.

Ok first I think hardcore and casual is stupid, but besides that, how the fuck is a rail shooter considered a hard core game in this day and age? Well it's because it has "hardcore" graphics.

I wish we could just get over the graphics race started by Sega with the Mega Drive.

The graphics race started much earlier than that.

Yeah, I seem to remember several Intellivision ads that made mention of how much better their graphics looked compared to the Atari 2600. Of course, no one cared, because Atari 2600 had the games.
