Genuinely looks fun! The last Transformers game I enjoyed was the 2004 PS2 title. I'll have to give this one a try.

This was Supernatural spoofing CSI, which was funnier for me because of this topic(since I never watched the show)

Anyway, bought Transformers for a steal today(gift cards). I played the first Decepticon level and wasn't sure how I felt about it. The game seemed good, but not necessarily great. Then I played the first Autobot levels and I have to say, that was badass!

Minor spoilers for the first autobot stage if anyone cares

First of all, Bumblebee, Ratchet and Optimus Prime is your team and you can play as either one of them! This is right after an awesome cutscene of Bumblebee and Prime kicking ass. You got Prime's original voice actor. Awesome. Also, they kept the classic transforming sound. For some reason, I never heard that sound when I transformed in the decepticon campaign stage that I played which really bothered me.

The first autobot level is epic! Big huge battle going on in a city with autobots fighting, dead or injured all over the battlefield. It's all going to hell until Prime steps up to lead. Reminds me of the movie. There's injured autobots lying around that you can save. I like that. It's like the reploid saving system from the Mega Man X games, but handled better. You also get to take down a big, huge decepticon attack ship using a turret. Plus, the level is full of highways and roads encouraging you to transform and speed along in vehicle mode which is fun. They did the transforming thing PERFECTLY in this game. The music, sound and dialogue are all awesome and give the game that epic feeling I expect from a Transformers game

What makes this stage so fun is that it's all about Prime stepping up to lead and he just seems every bit as badass as he should be(especially if you're playing as him). His one liners are great, hearing the autobots being in awe of his badassness is great too and of course saving the occasional injured autobot(at least one of which gets destroyed if you don't get to him in time)just makes Prime seem even more awesome

Game has nice variety, which I could see from the first stages of both campaigns. Different enemy types, some platforming, some hidden items to find, different weapons, turret sequences and of course driving around in vehicle form. It's all handled very well and feels natural

EDIT:And one more thing, you get to hear Soundwave a lot while playing through the intro stages of both campaigns and c'mon. Soundwave kicks ass!

I'm not gonna do a review or anything, but I finished both campaigns. To be perfectly honest, the game sucks :(
