Sony removed the confirmation feature from it, Plus it looks like shit, Sony doesn't make products that look like crap.

He said looks, but I think all first-iteration PS consoles look hideous

So is this travesty of a phone supposed to play PSP titles? I thought that platform was done already? Could have waited for the PSP2.

I didn't think the old PS consoles were that bad.. The launch PS2 design was hideous though!! Also, I think the Betamax classifies as shit in both performance and appearance... It was just a mess!!!

I think at the time of the release PS2 came across as a clean design, control, memory, firewire and USB jacks an easy reach. Also the foresight of a bright hidden yellow light for indicating hard drive access.

In all honesty it could have looked like dog doo doo and still be the best last gen.

Simply because of this nice feature.

As far as Betamax comment it was the better picture quality machine. The lower quality VHS marketing and tape run size killed the beta tape.

I hate Sony's latest practices too, but also won't be blinded just because of a name brand.
