Re: Playstation Phone(what a joke!)
so is this the long-awaited PSP2, or just a stop gap PSPGo+Phone combo?
Re: Playstation Phone(what a joke!)
I'm not sure.
How much to the phone-using and PSP playing demographics overlap? I always see people texting each other and chatting on their phones, but the number of people having Tekken and Monster Hunter battles on their PSP is much less. I think both sides already have what they want and I don't see how a marriage of the two accomplishes anything.

From a Japanese perspective? TONS.
This thing is designed with that in mind, I am sure.
I will likely move back to Japan eventually. Guess which phone I want with my phone plan? As long as I can play my PSP compatible stuff from PSN, I like it.

Re: Playstation Phone(what a joke!)
i don't know about you guys but, (i don't have a psp, tho my gba will serve the purpose in making my point)... if i lose my iPod, i still have my phone and gba... if i lose my phone, i still have my iPod and gba, if i lose my gba i still have my phone and iPod... but this hybridding of all things portable is a multi-loss in one if it goes missing. for that reason i'll never have a phone full of mp3's and i'll never have a portable gaming device with a phone on it. that's potentially a multitude more of places that gaming device would then go (parties, concerts, bars, etc...). it just sounds too hazardous. and this isn't the end of it, i'm sure... i heard in japan they have phones that are also keys to their houses (not sure if it's true, buuuuut...). it's craziness. count me out.

It might do slightly better than the N-Gage. Still, I'm surprised that Sony has finally run out of successful ideas to rip off from competitors and has started dipping into the unsuccessful ones.
