Well, yes and no.
My avatar does have a deep meaning. OK, hear me out on this one. The two screens are like my two personalities. The Top screen is the personality that you see on this site, the bandit (a crazy guy that is willing to break rules if it can get him something he wants. That shy guy is pretty self centered, and he thinks he is quite a good looking guy). The bottom screen is my hidden self, the shy gut (a depressed kid who feels fat, and ugly. He never leaves the sanctuary/prison of his home). Really, neither personality is a good one to have. Somewhere in the microphone region is ideal. but alas, that is not me.

There, nobody can top that level of deepness. :?

I have used the names Paratroopa and Koopatroopa on pretty much everything since I can remember. It started because I really liked Koopa Troopas, and he was always my favorite guy in Super Mario Kart so I stuck with it. Some people actually call me Para IRL since I grew up with it. Kind of embarrassing to explain though.

I eventually altered it to Paramonium (Paratroopa + Pandemonium) since Paratroopa isn't that original.

My avatar is one of my favorite video game "characters" of all time. The Moon from Majora's Mask is so creepy and cool. It is hard to describe the effect that the moon has on the whole game and the atmosphere (no pun intended) but if you've played the game then you won't need any explanation.

Niode wrote:My username came from when devil may cry came out on the ps2. At the time i had a bad habit of putting 'my arse' at the end of everything. If you're not english you probably won't get it. It's a South Yorkshire thing. After playing that game i'#d ask my mates if they played 'devil my arse' they'd get confused then i'd explain. Then all my mates start using that name to call the game by. Quite amusing, so i just use that now. Or abbreviate it to DMA (DevilMyArse or Doesn't Mean Anything).

did you change your username, niode?

My user name has been Jungle Toad for a long time. I used to spend more time on electronic music sites than on videogame sites. I always liked jungle/drum n bass and dabbled in producing it. When I was working on crafting a bass sound on my analog synthesizer I turned some knobs and it made this really cool sounding low frequency croak. My brother laughed from outside the room and came in and said "Whoa! It sounds like jungle toads in here." I liked that descriptions and it then became my user name for some rave forums. I became rather well liked on one of the local Utah rave forums because I knew a lot about music and was much more of a smartass back then. Whenever I would post something funny or perceptive, people started commenting back Jungle Toad For President!, which was later reduced to JT4P, which then became a whole mock internet presidential campaign with ad campaign banners and things like that. My favorite was this one (which is a little nsfw). It was kind of weird at the time because when I would get introduced at raves as Jungle Toad instead of by my real name (Cory), people were super excited to see me that I had never even met in person. I felt like this Jungle Toad persona I had created online was more popular than the real me. I've kept the name because of the fun I had with it on those forums, so now I usually go by some variation of Jungle Toad in any online venue (JT, toad, etc.).
