It's also vital to have wooden tuning knobs on your receiver and replace any plastic outlet covers with these babies: http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina44.htm !!!

Also, you shouldn't rip your CD's. Instead, for optimum quality, you should treat them with the intelligent box! http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/machinadynamica2/ib.html

CDs sound better if you take a green marker (it MUST be green!) and color the edge of the disc with it

Lol, yeah Diamond Head are great, I also like Saxon, Witchfynde, Overdrive, Praying Mantis, Tygers of Pan Tang, Angel Witch, Quartz, Witchfinder General, etc, I'll listen to pretty much anything NWOBHM though. There were so many damn bands in the movement at that time and loads of bands that never really got any notice, but still fucking rocked. I love finding some old cassette or 7'' from some obscure NWOBHM band at my local record store, and love the fact that 20 years on I'm still finding awesome bands I'd never heard of before.

Nice! Definitely love all those bands you listed. I just recently got a reissued CD of Satanic Rites' Which Way the Wind Blows and I am pissed it took me so long to finally give this band a chance, knowing how great the entire album sounds. I also enjoy the more AOR sounding bands like Persian Risk, Tokyo Blade, Rock Goddess, Black Rose, Shogun, Grim Reaper, etc.

Yeah, it is true that NWOBHM bands were not consistent with success (except for bands such as Saxon, Def Leppard, and Iron Maiden) and because of this many went extinct. Still, at least the majority of them have reunited and are still keeping it strong. Though it sucks that Avenger's longtime vocalist Ian Davidson Swift has been ousted. Now the only original founding member of that band is the drummer Gary Young.

I'll check those links out. Thanks.

Sounds risky... I won't bother unless you can elaborate further. :P

Crap! Too late! You had me using a green Sharpie on my Venom - Welcome to Hell CD!

Kidding, of course. And I don't even have any Venom CDs. Oh, now I feel sad just saying that. :(

Very awesome. Which album do you like the most?

I've been very partial to Spiritual Healing lately, though the easy answer to which one's my favorite would probably have to be Symbolic. I don't listen to it much these days, but when I do put it on it's always just as good as I remember.

I have the Control Denied album too, btw.
