AH has all the mini games. I'm thinking I might get either that or Metal Slug 3. Now, I know I could pick up the anthology, but I've heard Playmore did a pretty poor translation. I seem to recall something about the controls being off, and the fact that two or three of the games are not as inspired as the best games.

So, Metal Slug fans, is 3 really the best one? Is it worth 10 bucks? (I have never played any of these games before...)

Sorry to thread-jack.

I've bought 2100 ms points and have decided on getting SOTN and PM:CE. which leaves me 500 points left.

Any recommendations?

No biggie.

I have Space Giraffe, and while it's not for everyone, I like it pretty well. Marble Blast Ultra recently dropped down to 400 points. I got that last week and it's not bad. But I'd have to say the best 400 point game is Geometry Wars.

I love Marble Blast Ultra, It's my favourite XBLA game. I've got all the achievements for it (some of those easter eggs were a real pain in the ass).

I haven't played all the Metal Slugs, but I've played MS 3 on the Xbox, which I THINK is arcade perfect. The game is pretty sweet. There's alternate paths in each level and each stage seems slightly different(The second stage is a zombie fest). I think what makes MS 3 stand out is its final level. It's REALLY long and REALLY hard. If that level were the final act of a movie, it would be one of the most climactic, epic and memorable final acts of any action movie ever. Watching someone play through it without dying(which you can on youtube)is awe-inspiring.

I don't know whether to recommend that or Alien Hominid. I mean MS 3 is a bit better(and clearly Alien Hominid was inspired by Metal Slug), but that PDA mini-game in Alien Hominid is addicting, and a nice addition to the already awesome main game. And if I'm not mistaken, I think AH's main game is actually a little bit longer than MS 3. Though MS 3's alternate paths and hard as hell final level give it longevity

Thanks for the suggestions RadarScope1 & Caboose. I'll certainly give them a try. I've had a blast on geometry wars on PGR2/3 It's pretty cool but why would i want the xbla version if i have pgr3? is it better or something?

hmm, thats though, I guess the best way to put it is, that depends on what XBL account you have, if you have gold, you should think about whats the best game to play online, for online go for TMNT since you can play 4 player co-op online. Me personally, I'd say wait to see if other games come out, try it out before you buy it, the one game I would love to get (and you should get too) is N+, sure you can play the game for free online, but hey, you got to support independent groups, they too have mouths to feed.

I've just downloaded the trail of Metal Slug 3 and i've gotta say, it's the worst port i've ever seen. The Wii version runs better than this one. It's insanely slow. Definately not worth 800ms points.
