Yup tried it. Couldn't download it even from my history, even though it was there.

So even if I shared my account with someone, he couldn't download it.

And the game that removed this from the PSN ain't good ( http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010- ... iew?page=2 ) so thanks for that System 3. You released a bad game, and killed a good one at the same time.

OK thanks for the info, placing a WTD thread: ps3 with outrun online on it. Piracy needs to evolve! I want this bad. Always wanting the rare and obscure. I´m just curious how it looks I guess :x

And with all this Ferrari license crap I guess I can forget about a Dreamcast classic like F355 Challenge coming to psn! I think that that is the Dreamcast game I want most on psn!
That is a simulator! Problem is that in VGA mode, the wide screen option is not available, that´s why I want it on psn or if there ever is hack to fix that I´d be all over it.

No you're not unless you want to break forum rules.

Any downloads of any games from 2000 to present of any kind is not allowed, no matter how much you want it. Sorry man, I know the feeling.

But hey, go pick up Outrun 2006: Coast2Coast on the PS2 or Original Xbox used. It actually has all of the stuff from Outrun online and MORE, plus it sells for under $10-$15 used 99% of the time.

It even has a 16:9 mode and 480p!

P.S.-The Original Xbox versions are best as the arcade hardware it was on is actually based on the Xbox with more RAM. (Think Dreamcast and Naomi) So it's almost a perfect port with zero slowdown like the PS2 version can have at times.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

You can't play Outrun 2006 C2C on a BC PS3 though. It crashes when you try and choose something on the menu screen.

This really sucks, especially if you paid for the game but can't download it again. That is complete and utter bullshit on Sony's part. They should at least let you have the content you have paid for, if not then they need to refund you. It's as simple as that. Doesn't matter whether Sega has the licence anymore, that's not the consumers fault. It's Sony's responsibility to make sure their customers have access to the content they paid for. If not then I simply cannot and will not purchase ANYTHING on the PSN in future. Fuck Sony. I've had it with that piece of shit fucking company. My PS3 is staying exploited and will never be taken online again.

In Ebay you can get the game in any platform for less than 12 dollars.

There's also a couple of the original OutRun cabs for cheap! =D

For some reason Steam doesn't have this game anymore. I remember it was around because some friends got it cheap from a sale.
Looking for a cool game? Find it in my blog!

Works just fine on my 60gig.

Also, no it isn't Sony's responsibility. It isn't Sony's game, it isn't Sony's license and Sony isn't going to risk a lawsuit from Ferrari over illegally selling a game that's not their property.

That having been said this is all actually resting on Ferrari and Sega's shoulders. Learn how your rights as a consumer and the industry works before you start ranting like a crazy person.

I don't think he was ranting like a crazy person. I think it's a legit complaint. The customer has a right to complain when they are denied access to something they bought. If that item was bought through a Sony service, then Sony does have something to do with it as it is their outlet that the product was purchased through. They should be offering a refund to those who purchased the product, or should come to an agreement with Sega/Ferrari about offering a refund. I don't see a moral way around that, regardless of any legal loopholes they probably already have.

It's not the sale of the game I'm talking about. It's the implied denial of access to content you paid for. I can understand them not selling the game, I understand how licences work. It's the fact that you can't download the game you have bought. You have the right to access the content, that's what you paid for. It shouldn't matter whether the publisher has right to sell the content, the existing customers aren't buying, they're simply downloading a purchase made when licence was still valid. Xbox 360 owners can still download the game, why not PS3 owners? Why? That reason is Sony and Sony's fault alone. It's their service that is broken here, not Sega. It's Sony's customers that have got the shaft... Again.

No, it isn't Sony's fault.

The way the license works is that if and when theirs expired and another game went up on PSN it was to be removed from the PS Store. End of story, no more bitching and moaning.

Sega just got lazy after paying a ton to license it longer on XBLA and figured they'd ride it's coattails on PSN with a shorter license in the UK where there are more PS3's than 360's.

Plus it was never on PSN in the US to begin with so the majority of US members I see complaining are just crying for the sake of it. UK members such as yourself have a valid complaint in some shape or form. (But at the same time not really, and I'll get to that in a minute)

See it's the exact same way as a disc works once a disc gets recalled the price of used copies skyrocket and become expensive as hell sometimes. The company isn't gonna say "Oh, you scratched your CD that you just bought new from some retailer that didn't follow instructions? Send it back and we'll press a new copy just for you". They'll tell you it's a 90-day limited warranty and that since their license to make or distribute any games/discs/personalities/etc... featuring said licensee you're SOL.

Of course you're gonna counter with a "Well I cant buy a used download!" Actually in most cases you can by buying used hard drives with the game on it and getting their system user account (not PSN account) info. In other words it's gonna take some more effort on your part but it's the same deal as buying used carts and discs for the most part, just more time consuming.

In the end it's all honestly the result of the end consumer's choice. If you really wanted the game you should have bought it, if not I know it sucks but we've all had to deal with it at one point or another.

Plus, it's not like you're constantly scratching up and destroying your discs so the same should apply to frivolously deleting and re-downloading your digitally purchased games and content.
