http://www.giantbomb.com/rail-shooter/92-320/ 82 games listed on GB. Games like Time Crisis and Virtua Cop are indeed on-rails shooters, despite their fancy accessories. Gunblade NY and Rail Chase 2 can be emulated using ElSemi's Model 2 emulator and they're lots of fun.

Oh and you should get Rez HD. Ignore the PS2 and DC versions and go for broke! There's a disc compilation called Qubed if you don't fancy the DL version.

Gunblade NY is also on the Wii.

"Other Rail Shooters like Sin & Punishment/Panzer Series". Games like Virtua Cop are more arcade style rail shooters. But those will definitely make the list when I list those kinds of games. And Gunblade N.Y. looks awesome. I gotta pick it up soon.

OK, if we're going to add games like Time Crisis 2, the Rebel Assault games and Wild Guns to the rail shooter category, then it looks like I'm going to have to dig up that favorite genres thread and add rail shooters to it.

I'm going to have to spend some time refining this list. I'll get to it soon. Most of these I've heard of but I need to make sure some of these fit in the same game style.

Well, they're not games that I've ever viewed as rail shooters, but if they are, then that would mean I've enjoyed more rail shooters than I thought LOL. Before this topic I'd have said the Panzer Dragoon games, the Sin & Punishment games and the Starfox games were the only rail shooters I ever gave a crap about

Touch the Dead for the DS was pretty cool. Point Blank got a release on the DS too.

Oh geeze, why start a whole new thread on your older post? Same discussion all over again?
