That's a big reason I still prefer Perfect Dark to any new FPS.
The game has no carry limit.
Thank the heavens!

Also, if this game has a feature to use the Goldeneye All Weapons cheat in multiplayer, it's a must have in my eyes. That was one thing I was disappointed about in Goldeneye (not something that ruined the game, just made me kinda sad). Then in Perfect Dark they kept the cheat but took something I liked about it out, in Goldeneye you could have dual any weapon. Dual Sniper rifles, dual rocket launchers, etc.

So Popo you are saying it has a Quake styled multiplayer weapon system instead of a Call of Duty one?

If so, PLEASE let it have remappable controls and be decent.

It seems to me that a thread about an FPS game is the weirdest place possible to complain about the Wii remote not being made for serious gamers. FPS is the one traditional hardcore genre where the remote really makes sense.

You would think so. The problem i find is that I can't move quickly enough. I crank up the sensitivity all the way up, but i still find myself slowly turning. If there is ever a guy behind you, you just get pounded.

The difference between a mouse and a wiimote is that i can quickly flick the mouse and be oriented to hit the target WAY before the wiimote gets around to it.

The only game i've seen get this right is the quake fanmade port for homebrew.

I haven't played the Quake port, but that demonstrates what I'd already assumed--that the "quick turn" issue is something that can be worked around in software and not a flaw of the remote itself. I don't think many developers put enough work into refining their FPS controls on the Wii. Maybe they don't think serious gamers are going to be buying them anyway? Or maybe they're just too busy trying to shovel software out the door.

Regardless, if a mouse isn't an option, I do much better with the remote than with a stick. I might be able to turn faster with a stick than with a remote, but still not as fast as with a mouse. Also, on a stick, I find it harder and slower to aim accurately at things that are in front of me. I'm not even going to worry about how well I can turn around to face what's behind me if I still can't hit it once I'm facing it. Some people have an knack for aiming with a stick, I know, but I find it much too fiddly to deal with.

I'd say that since all console FPS's don't allow the quick turn that developers are intentionally making the Wiimote not turn as fast as you might like.

Seems that way. I don't really understand why though.

Next Tuesday I get off work early, get to pick up Goldeneye, then get to go vote. I like being an adult some times.

BUT I might get to play it on Friday night thanks to a buddy in the industry being in town.

So I only got to play 10 minutes of this but I can say this much.
Legacy and Southpaw controls
Left trigger shoot
Plays alot like Call of Duty from my short experience with it.
