What about the bunch of PC style adventure games we're seeing on portables and download services. It's not a new genre to PC gamers, but certainly not one that we saw much of on consoles until recently
I thought about Hotel Dusk, also. Even though, generally speaking, it's probably considered a 'text adventure' (which
have been around for years) it's also got several things like exploration, interrogation, puzzles, and touch-screen elements that make it more of an interactive mystery novel. It's like the perfect mix between book and video game, which most text adventures are not.
