I'm torn... do I really NEED to play this?! I have a huge backlog already, and I'm wondering if this is worth playing. Looks fun, but kind of a mindless fun..

hmmm well if your ok with a game that will consume your life, then yes it pretty much worth it. i wouldn't call it exactly mindless but it really has no goal. it's pretty much like playing with lego's but with gathering and synthesis system (oh and monsters ha). if you loved/love making things then this is a game for you. Personally this game has gotten me to flourish in my creativity.

The game really didn't interest me at all just looking at videos or reading reviews - you kind of just have to play it to get why everybody loves it so much. And, ideally, the game will get more and more features as time goes on, since there's a lot lacking right now (multiplayer especially comes to mind)

Holy crap.

On a less intellectual level, here is a mashup of elpresador's vulgar review of Halo:Reach, mashed up with minecraft footage to look like a review of minecraft. It's kind of funny.
