Guess they were all wrong lol. I've got the regular Turbografx 16 and it seems like I'm going to have to upgrade with the CD addon.
That is kind of what I really was referring to in my other post. There is a huge misconception about this. Heck, quite a few retro gamers don't even know that the Turbo-CD existed!
So Fighting Street was the first Turbografx CD game....sweet. I've always wanted to play that game even though I've heard awful things about it.
Well, it is pretty bad. Only buy it if it's cheap! Cost wise, you might be better off just importing a PC Engine Duo. It comes with a Super CD card (system 3.0) so you can play pretty much all of the CD-based games. Plus, the CD part of the system is region free. Since you already have a TG-16, this would give you access to the entire TG-16/PC Engine library (total access if you bought the Arcade card, but it's not really necessary IMO. The Super CD card IS). It's also cheaper to import games than to get the local TG versions, usually (same is true of the Saturn).

Considering the system was never released in PAL territory its pretty understandable.

I thought the FM Towns Marty was the first gaming machine to use CDs; just barely predating the PC-Engine CD.

Except that I've seen plenty of American sites making that claim.

PC Engine CD-ROM2 was 1988. FM Towns Marty was 1993. The Sega Mega CD was also before the Marty.

The Marty was the first stand-alone CD console.

If you really want to find out what was first sega cd game was. insert any of sega cd games into your computer Apple, windows, linux, and look in properties. You will find out what day and year and maybe time when it was made. the last sentence before this was a grammar mistake.
