I ended up buying his white 1989 Chevy Celebrity for 650$ from his family. It has 152,000 miles on it but it runs well and had it's air compressor replaced + a new paint job last year. I know it's not much but it is my first car. Unlike most 16/17 year olds, my parents made me buy my own car and are going to make me pay for gas/ insurance. I have a job, so paying for it is no problem. Anyway i just installed a 800$ stereo in the car that i picked out and now I'm on the road. :D :D :D :D :D
Congrats! A great feeling. I bought my High School car for a 100 bucks. A 1962 Chevy Impala. Pulled motor and kept adding to her over the years. Now married with children and I still have my car, go cruising on car show nights.

Your car, any car for that matter has potential. That $800 stereo will be nice with a "Pro Street" hot rod package installed.

A sample pic of your car potential, just how much you want to put into her:

That's probably a decent starter car that's slow enough to keep you from getting into too much trouble and cheap enough that if something happens you won't be too upset. Also it is large enough that you can haul a bunch of friends places which sounds annoying at first, but you can get food and gas money bribes. 8)

My first car was a 1981 Ford Fairmont Ghia which looked alot like this http://digiads.com.au/carsales/used-car ... adPhotoTop

It served me well untill it got run over by a monster truck, or rather several trucks.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

My first car was a 64 Mustang, Metallic Blue. It had a bit of rust but not too much and the car was awesome. It was cheapish when I got it and I wish I still had it.

Congratz on your car. :)

My first car, isn't really mine per say, it belongs to my parents but it's pretty much my car. It's a Silver 2000 Buick LeSabre and every time I see someone driving a LeSabre they are pretty much over the age of 50 or so

But now I'm at college so I'm not doing too much driving anymore.

My first car was a 1989 Buick LeSabre. She looks really sad and has a few quirks but still runs well. LeSabres never die.

Bad memories, my brother had a 65 ragtop mustang. He sold it when he got out of high school. If only he had kept it, small fortune to get one today.

Oh yeah, and then there's the paint job and window tinting for the real high rollers. Sure, it pours black smoke out the back and the brakes squeal when you think of tapping them, but it sure looks COOL.
And it adds 100hp. :?

my first car was a disaster . 1987 mitsubishi starion esi-r . still have that evil thing . I remember so many nights of staying home instead of going out partying because my "super cool" sports car was always broken . 11 years later ... still have it . with an extra 300 hp and never drive it because i love it too much :)

so for my second car, I decided to get a beater and a wrx fit the bill (and still does) :)
