Congrats! A great feeling. I bought my High School car for a 100 bucks. A 1962 Chevy Impala. Pulled motor and kept adding to her over the years. Now married with children and I still have my car, go cruising on car show nights.Arbitern1 wrote:I just got my first car. My elderly neighbor died and his remaining possessions were sold. I ended up buying his white 1989 Chevy Celebrity for 650$ from his family. It has 152,000 miles on it but it runs well and had it's air compressor replaced + a new paint job last year. I know it's not much but it is my first car. Unlike most 16/17 year olds, my parents made me buy my own car and are going to make me pay for gas/ insurance. I have a job, so paying for it is no problem. Anyway i just installed a 800$ stereo in the car that i picked out and now I'm on the road.![]()

Your car, any car for that matter has potential. That $800 stereo will be nice with a "Pro Street" hot rod package installed.
A sample pic of your car potential, just how much you want to put into her:
