I don't want that stuff in front of my courthouse or police barracks though. Separation of church and state includes shit like this.AppleQueso wrote:Funny considering I see 10 commandments and manger scenes displayed around all over the place and nobody complains at all.Jimmy Yakapucci wrote:I think that the majority of people believe that they have a legal right to build it there, but would rather that they build it somewhere else.Octopod wrote:I like how they are waving flags in the picture while they are trying their best to deny people their constitutional rights.
Love it or leave it people....isn't that how the saying goes?
On a semi-related note. I was listening to the radio the other day and someone was commenting on the fact that at at least 2 locations in NYC, they close down some streets on Friday afternoon so that Muslims can lay out their prayer rugs and pray toward Mecca. There is apparently not enough room for all of them inside the mosques so they have to move outside.
Somehow this is okay, but if someone wants to put up a manger scene around Christmas or display the 10 commandments there is a major hissy fit thrown.
Equal treatment?

We can take God off the money and out of the pledge too, as far as I am concerned.
