Love, love, LOVE R.A.D.! It's hilariously presented (in English at least) and damn fun to play. ICO is also pretty cool, although that's another game I've yet to beat... Really should sometime since it's relatively short, right?CRTGAMER wrote:R.A.D.

I wanted WTF so much when I first heard of it. However, for some reason I ended up never buying it... I definitely will now though that you've reminded me and minigames are great. Speaking of which Rhythm Heaven is fabulous and I've yet to get it as well....flojocabron wrote:one quirky game that I like is for the psp. Its called
WTF work time fun!
Thanks for bringing this one up! Despite it being on my list for years I've never played it (although I have gone through Skull Monkeys). Claymation anything in games is awesome as is, so I bet this game is double awesome.emwearz wrote:When I think of unusual games I always think of The Neverhood, it also has one of the best soundtracks ever created, which is also very unusual.
I've heard Toy Commander brought up a few times before... it does seem really cool and it slightly reminds me of Portal Runner (spin off of the Army Men games), interestingly enough. ScrapLand is pretty cool, even if it's not entirely quirky!GSZX1337 wrote:Toy Commander - You control a kid who plays with his planes/cars.
Since terrin707 mentioned American McGee, I'll drop a recommendation for American McGee's ScrapLand. I'm not sure if it would count as quirky, but it's a good game.
Grim Fandango is a freaking amazing game and I love Tim Schafer in general. However... upon playing my sister's copy of Psychonauts I wasn't ever able to bond with the game. She definitely enjoyed it, but I just couldn't D: . Maybe I'll give it another go because it sure seems that a lot of people have good words to say about it.Dylan wrote: You might consider giving Psychonauts a go, while the gameplay is that of a relatively standard platformer, the level design and atmosphere are incredible. They range from fantastic at best and bizzare at weirdest (see Meat Circus). It's the kind of game that I absolutely love, but if you reskinned it in a bland manner, I wouldn't hardly enjoy it. That's how interesting the presentation is.
Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! You're reminding me of games I've wanted or games I already have that I am now rediscovering (and therefore I don't even need to spend money!).
