^I agree that TP is best on the Cube.
I still need to get that OOT disc myself.
And I 2nd Animal Crossing if only for the NES games (although all of them are available through the GBPlayer either on GBA or e-reader, EXCEPT for Punch-Out).

Yeah I paid double the price for Twilight Princess on the Gamecube (my shop was selling the Wii version 2nd hand for £15, and the Gamecube version £30). I stood in the shop for ages trying to decide which to buy, and whether it was worth paying double. Decided it was in the end. More fool me I guess, but I wanted the GC version
Own: Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii U, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, Xbox 360

A thousand times yes, make sure you spend the $15 and get a gameboy player. It essentially expands your possible library 10 fold. The one weakness in the gamecube's line up that I saw was the lack of 2D Platformers. With the gameboy player that problem is solved.noiseredux wrote:

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I've said it before, and chances are will say it many many times again: the Gamecube with GBPlayer is pretty much the greatest console ever. You've got a library that spans 20 years with literally something for everyone.Flake wrote:A thousand times yes, make sure you spend the $15 and get a gameboy player. Here's my top 11 (why not?) Gamecube recommendations (excluding the ones you have):
11. Super Smash Bros. Melee
10. Animal Crossing
9. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
8. Pikmin
7. F-Zero GX
6. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
5. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
4. Resident Evil 4
3. Ikaruga
2. Metroid Prime
1. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
I'm really no expert, though. Lisalover's the one you should come to if you have any further questions.

For reference, here's what I have:
-LoZ Wind Waker
-LoZ Twilight Princess
-Luigi's Mansion
-Viewtiful Joe
-Resident Evil 4
-XIII
-Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
-Super Mario Sunshine
-Mario Kart Double Dash
-Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
-Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
-Super Smash Bros Melee
-Metroid Prime
-Starfox Adventures
-Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
-Gameboy Player
Most of those I would put solidly on "must-own" except XIII and FFCC. On my list of what I'm looking for, I have:
-Skies of Arcadia: Legends
-Metroid Prime 2
-Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
-Beyond Good and Evil
-Killer7
-Tales of Symphonia
-Pokemon Colosseum
-Kirby Air Ride
-the Phantasy Star Online games
-The LoZ bonus disc and OoT/MM disc
again, most of these I'd consider a must own.

XIII is awesome. SO overlooked. Nobody ever talks about it. I think it's great.

I got it with my cube and haven't touched it yet. I didn't put it as a must-own since I haven't played it myself.noiseredux wrote:XIII is awesome. SO overlooked. Nobody ever talks about it. I think it's great.
