Should I buy an Xbox 360?

If you literally want a Convection Oven, get a 360. Im not sure how much the newer 360 has improved with the heat ventilation, but the old 360 is garbage. Good games, garbage hardware. Ive never had a system overheat, other than the 360. and a Jtagged 360 is even worse.

The PS3 gets the yellow light of death, but once its fixed, it stays fixed.

Inside the white case of the Xbox 360, the mother board is encased in another metal case, which holds in the heat in even more. The fans do nothing for it. Test your systems out much Microsoft?

If you do get a 360, take ur chances on getting a newer one. If not, its RROD for sure.

Newer 360's don't have this problem as much. And by "newer" i mean the latter day old model ones. My friend just bought a new 360 slim and had it for less than three weeks and got a Red Light of Death. I have never had my 360 die on me. I have had it since launch, but i have had 3 PS3's die on me. The first two were under warranty. The second i wasn't so lucky. To put it in the worlds of Public Enemy"Don't Believe the Hype"

No red leds^ Supposedly, and the new 360s have a 1 year warranty, so it isn't covered like the others.

To the OP: I would try to enjoy some retro games of put into your PS3. The 360 will be around for a little while longer, the prices will drop, and you can still enjoy everything you missed.

360 is a big waste. I bought mine only because all my friends had it. Later I found out they have completely opposite taste in games. I'm actually trying to sell my 360 to later get a PS3 so there you go.

The only real reason for me to even think about getting a 360 is because they have some LE Aksys exclusives such as Deathsmiles and Record of Agarest War(LE Naught Version)... I mean Gundemonium is awesome but it does have some weak music, and ROAW is PSN DLC only.. I mean come on Xbox gets a sweet LE version and Sony owners gets a 10 gig DLC version that takes like 4 hours to download? Other than that, I have no real incentive to purchase a 360..

Well I know I want to eventually get my hands on a PSP but not badly enough to get it just yet. Other than that there isn't anything else.

And thanks for the input everybody. I've decided I'm not gonna be wasting my time with the 360 what with the Mass Effect 2 news. Also, after doing some side research I found that the Japanese-exclusive PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia is import friendly so that get's rid of my second biggest reason for wanting a 360.

Wartech Senko No Ronde, Raiden Fighters Aces, Raiden 4, Deathsmiles, Guwange, Mushihimesama Futari, ESPGaluda II, Earth Defense Force 2017, Otomedius Excellent and the Left 4 Dead games if you don't have a computer that can run them. I'd take those over anything the PS3 offers any day. Plus who knows what other Cave games will end up getting a US release or being region free. And yeah you have to pay for online but at least the online doesn't suck ass like on the Wii.

Anyhow, you already made you decision and I am sure it is a good one since only you know what you truly want.

If I was just looking into it I would go with a j360. Maybe this November I will be too tempted and have to give in.
