EA Sports Bringing Back NBA Jam For Wii

So a slimmed down version of NBA Jam will be on the PS3 and 360 - but you have to buy NBA Elite 11 to get it.

I suppose if I think of this as buying NBA Jam for full price and getting NBA Elite 11 for free, that's not a horrible deal. Maybe the game will actually be good. If not, I hope they make it so that the Elite disc isn't needed to play Jam and I can just redeem the code and quickly sell the game back.

so the wii version is the full version and the 360 and ps3 get the slimmed down version!i guess i have to get NBA Elite 11 (aka NBA Live) for my 360.

Count me in the camp that's disappointed it's Wii exclusive. You knew this would come back at some point. I always envisioned it as a downloadable game for WW/XBLA/PSN. It makes perfect sense. Is someone really going to pay $40 or $50 for a retail version?

Why the Wii? And why EA? Why is EA such a conglomerate of sports? Is there no sports games out of the reach of EA? Why don't they just buy up 2K and get it over with!

Now I have to dust off my crap Wii "virtual keep the girls quiet" machine to play some remade excellence? ( I hope anyways...)

So I got to play this at PAX. Remember how awesome the original NBA Jam was? This is the second coming, with some extra moves, like passing to a guy who's already in midair for the dunk, or passing out of your dunk to your partner who's in the middle of a dunk. Oh, and you don't need turbo to dunk.
