Damn, that's a shame. I swear there are no more than 20 lobbies open in player matches around 7:00 pm or so. Half of which I can't connect to.

I just picked up this game today. I'm really impressed. I thought it was just going to be a flashy graphics-flaunting button masher, but this is actually what I've been waiting for in a fighter. It combines the deep story of an RPG with fast, smooth, and most importantly, intuitive fighting. I haven't played a fighting game this good since Bleach: The Blade of Fate on the DS.

I've had it for a while and love it. I also have Battle Fantasia, but I love BlazBlue more.

And I can't wait for the sequel. And I wanna get the PSP version of BB:CT.

I picked this up a few weeks ago for the PS3 and played it for the first time just now with my SF TE stick. I have never played BlazBlu before or any of the Guilty Gear games (for shame, I know), so I expected to get my ass handed to me.

I turned it on, installed the patch, chose arcade mode, picked the guy that looked like Hellboy (Tager) and proceeded to 1CC the game winning every match 2-0 with one exception (where I won 2-1) . I didn't even bother figuring out what buttons did what, I just started trying to see what I could discover for moves and combos. Hell, it wasn't even until like the eighth match that I discovered how to put up my barrier.

I was really surprised the game was so easy - is the character I chose just extremely unbalanced? Is the default difficulty extremely easy for some reason? I'm not even very good at fighting games...maybe I just encountered some dumb luck?

Anyway, the game is gorgeous but the story and Engrish were completely nonsensical. I'll try it again with another character tomorrow I guess, but I'd like to think that it was just a freak thing that I beat it on the first try. If balance is a big issue, does it kill the online play?

Turn up the difficulty and play online, the game and experienced players can seriously wreck newer guys at times.

But, it's good for some steady practice and learning common tricks and defenses.
