Kind of hard to think of just 3! But here goes:

Without even thinking
1. Shenmue
2. Jet Set Radio

3. I have to probably say Final Fantasy (although my love for it has waned over the last few years).

Might of said Mario for 3 although to me, that franchise brings a lot of spinoff titles which im not too fond of.

Shenmue doesnt count, there are only 2 that came out. I know nothing about monkey island but we are looking for more than 3

To be honest the "3 or more" rule seems a bit artificial in many cases. If the "franchise" (as RB put it) has more than one title, you should be able to know if it's one of your favorite franchises. Single titles are genuinely different as you don't know what elements of it a sequel will have in common (just the characters? Similar gameplay?), but limiting to 3 or more instead of the minimum of 2 seems strange. Is there any reason for it, RB?

For example, I put Diablo as my number one. There's only 2 of those (each with an expansion pack), but I have no doubts that a third one will be made (most likely after SC2 is out), and I have no doubts that it will be a good game (if it will be very good I'm not so sure, but I'm certainly hoping). The doubt I have is if they are going to make it a MMO (I SERIOUSLY hope not - although it is certain that it will have a strong online component to it, I hope the single player mode exists and is high quality, not an afterthought).
