I'm in danger of being laughed at, but here goes.

MGS
Streets of rage
Gran turismo

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Well, choice 1 and 3 aren't exactly the sort of games that are common place here. I felt like I should be mentioning stuff like Under defeat (not 3 or more) or contra or SMB or something a little more old school.

MGS 1 is my favourite game period, it's the only 3d psx game that I can bring myself to play. The graphics have held up poorly, but hey what 3d psx game hasn't.

I think that 3D games now lost that artistic quality it has during the PSX and Saturn days. I would never say graphix help up poorly, i always just appreciate a art form that doesnt really exist anymore.

No matter what era people look back to, they always seem to say that they miss the artistry of the era. Y,know people look back to SMB3 and say "wow, how did they manage to get that out of the nes" or something similar with sonic on the genny or DK for the snes. Now more people are saying it about the 32 bit era now that we are 2 generations later, and people ten years from now will say it about the Wii, xbox360 and the PS3. There is still artists in the industry, you just have to be able to see them.

I'll rattle off a few games that reinforce what I'm saying ( albeit last gen cos I'm too cheap to update):
Psychonauts
JGR
Alien hominid ( take it or leave it, but I love it)
Viewtiful joe

I could go on but I should do some work before I get fired.
Ps , please don't take this as an attack. It's merely a point of view.
