Xenoblade...any relation to Xenosaga?

There was several stuff about Xenogears which I didn't think made sense. I even took notes to see if by the end of the game they got explained better but most didn't. I wonder if Xenosaga will have some answers?

From what I understand, the only connection it has to the Xeno- series is that it has the same director. Apparently it's Xeno- in name only. I don't remember where I read this, but I've heard that the NA release might actually come out under the original name "Monado".
