I just checked this out on Amazon and I might have to order a copy. I don't play bullet hell shooters, but that's a whole lot of stuff for just fifty bucks. This whole limited edition only release is pretty sweet. I wish ALL companies were this generous.

I very much support this

I picked up my pre-ordered copy a few days late and the clerk told me that the extra non-pre-ordered copies were selling good. I almost bought an extra to keep sealed but I didn't.

Looks like complete copies are selling for $70ish on ebay.

I do not mean that they do not have copies for you though, I am sure Amazon has their pre-ordered stock to get out.

I told you guys it was limited to 15,000 units.....

No, I will tonight. I had to leave the house almost immediately after the mail arrived :(.

My CE box was slightly bent in one corner during shipping. Is it worth contacting Amazon about this and asking for a replacement?

Considering that you're just as likely to have it happen again, as Amazon can't control the carrier's handling of the product, I wouldn't bother.

Yeah, the cardboard they use is very thin. Hell, it is not even cardboard, it is like card stock. I imagine they do not ship well unless you pad it well inside a bigger box.

Anyone here get a 1CC on this yet? This game is fun. I love the theme and graphics even though I never really considered myself a fan of lolis. I am more of a spaceship man. Or cowboys, I dig Gun.Smoke.

Been watching some vids on youtube. It's actually kind of cool to see the game have something resembling a health bar. Usually what makes these games so hard is the fact that one hit kills, which isn't something I have a problem with. I actually like that one hit kills you in Contra games for example, more realistic. However, bullet hell shooters seem to generally be much harder than other shooters. So I appreciate the feature

Really digging that boss theme music too. Really wish it was payweek. I want Sin and Punishment 2 as well, even though I don't have a Wii. It'll be the first thing I'll want to play when I get one

What separates the health system of Deathsmiles from a regular Bullet Hell like Mushihimesama Futari is that in DS you aren't penalized as heavily for running into an enemy (terrain doesn't hurt you, which is awesome). In Futari you lose a life if you hit a bullet or an enemy. In Deathsmiles you only lose half a life bar for hitting an enemy (still full if you hit a bullet). This can actually be used to your advantage, as losing only half a life bar doesn't affect your counter and gives you a period of invincibility. In general, though, what's usually killing you in these games is the bullets, so it's still about as rough as any other bullet hell. Plus, the enemies are pretty visible; there aren't a lot of suicide baddies that try to catch you unawares and ram you.

Yeah, I mean it works like a healthbar because you continue to play with no break but it still functions as three "lives" basically. I also like the power up build up that lets you take no damage from running into the enemies themselves. Even though I prefer games like Raiden it is really nice that you do not loose power ups when you get hit in DS. That can be crippling in some games.

Man, some of these achievements are just silly stupid. Pause the game? Use a continue? WTF.

That's actually how most Cave games work. Different shmups have different restart systems. Some restart the level, some a check point, and Blazing Lazers has two kinds of lives, instant respawn lives and regular checkpoint lives.

I've been saying this for years.
