Re: Radiant Silvergun
Does anyone else find it interesting how these rare games still somehow always manage to have a bunch of sealed/mint copies floating out there?

Re: Radiant Silvergun
When this game became popular, it was already known that it would be a collector's item. People generally held on to it and kept it in great condition, sometimes even buying two copies. A lot of the late release Saturn games, in all regions, ended up like this. This is also especially true with late Dreamcast and PC Engine CD games.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Does anyone else find it interesting how these rare games still somehow always manage to have a bunch of sealed/mint copies floating out there?

Well damn, It's even more valuable than I thought. This topic makes me want to go hug my copy. It's definitely worth the price. Few games do epic as well as RS. It's damn hard though if you're not a genre veteran, which I'm not
This level is incredible. I got through it no hits only one time. I was having a good day. Epic music! One of my all time favorite video game tracks

Unlikely they are making any money from that, although I think they're based in the countryside a bit (ie. not Tokyo or Osaka), so maybe they got it for $75ish? Unlikely, but not impossible.pepharytheworm wrote:If anyone is interested risingstuff has it on sale right now for $118.

Re: Radiant Silvergun
Just cause you lived in Japan and couldn't find it for less than $100 doesn't mean others can't easily. I find that people in the large cities say things in Japan aren't cheaper and people in the country rave on all the great deals there are. Which is weird because must things you can buy seem cheaper in the large cities in America and cost more in small towns. Not counting flea markets though, they are always cheaper in rural areas.Breetai wrote:Unlikely they are making any money from that, although I think they're based in the countryside a bit (ie. not Tokyo or Osaka), so maybe they got it for $75ish? Also on a side note, Titan ST-V and Saturn are pretty much equivalent. So much so that Radiant Silvergun was first created on Saturn and then converted to Titan ST-V. Like NAOMI and Dreamcast, the Saturn is a hell of a better bargain than the Titan.Hobie-wan wrote:On a side note, RS arcade stuff:

That Rising Stuff discount is a ridiculously good price. If I was a dick I'd buy it just so I could sell it.
