They are still more durable than the godawful cardboard boxes used by Nintendo for so many years (and by Sega for a while as well).(-_-) wrote:They are reducing the amount of plastic used in the case as well as bringing this change to your immediate attention whenever you open it. Wouldn't it make more sense to make these things out of recycled plastic or something? Aren't a lot of DVD cases ALREADY made of recycled plastic?
Have you noticed the recycle symbol in your case?

I think its just a way for the game/movie company to save money. Multiply millions of cases in savings of plastic and shipping costs.(-_-) wrote:They are reducing the amount of plastic used in the case as well as bringing this change to your immediate attention whenever you open it. Kinda ironic when a replacement good non-hole DVD case has to be purchased.

You think they care about the environment? No way, it's just to save money under the cover of "eco-friendly". It could also end up giving the companies good rep with Eco companies, and even the government.AppleQueso wrote:I still don't see the point of the eco cases. Notice when the Eco cases first came out? First it was just an embossment.
Then two holes. Then four. Now all the arrows have holes.
Speaking of recycle here is the older identical topic post.

Oh of course, I don't believe for one second that this is a genuine attempt at being eco-friendly.slowslow325 wrote:You think they care about the environment? 2nd this, they more than likely dont give a crap about saving plastic, just about saving moneyAppleQueso wrote:Oh of course, I don't believe for one second that this is a genuine attempt at being eco-friendly.slowslow325 wrote:You think they care about the environment? Yeah, imagine that. Sega could have healed the hole in the ozone layer and stopped global warming dead in it's tracks in 1986.Pichu wrote:Imagine if the Gen hard cases had those. >_<
