Nintendo is totally owing this E3. All they to do was bring out the 3DS and its over...

Although, from the screen shots, my educated guess is that graphically were talking PS2ish power.

When Konami decides to make the next Metal Gear game on Nintendo hardware you know the other guys just got their **ses handed to them.

There were other things like Golden Eye and Zelda that could made big news for Nintendo on their own. But all that together... darn I was more worried about how much money I'm going to need. The whole conference I was "want, want that, that too, want, oooooh that too".
Thanks everyone...

They're not copying the Wii they are improving it.
Yea, but they're really only doing it because of the massive success of the Wii. I wouldn't say they're copying off the Wii, but rather they saw how good it was doing and wanted to copy it, but needed to think of something more "original" so that fanboys have an argument against that.

So they thought about it and decided to slightly copy the eyetoy with Wii in mind.

I wouldn't even say they're improving it because it probably won't work very well. Don't get me wrong, I've never used it, but judging by E3 last year, it didn't look to good.

It probably will fail in rooms with little light (like my game room, and a lot of home theaters). Look at last year's E3, and when they were showing off the avatar movement thing the avatar kept twisting her head backwards and stuff.
From what I read of people who tried it on the floor it works extremely well.

Technologically, the only thing that worries me about Kinect is the amount of floorspace necessary. In fact, it just completely rules me out of getting it unless I decide to drastically change my living space.

I wouldn't say Kinect's technology is ripping off the Wii. It obviously has a lot more in common with the EyeToy than the Wii. HOWEVER! Did you see the games? Just about every game they revealed can be pretty easily compared to a Nintendo game.

Kinect Sports = Wii Sports
Kinect Adventures = ...Wii Sports Returns?
Your Shape = Wii Fit
Kinectimals = Nintendogs
Dance Central = Just Dance
Kinect JoyRide = A formerly free Mario Kart without power-ups that they are now charging for.
Forza 4 = The only "Killer Ap" for Kinect... but something tells me that less than 1/4 of the poeple playing it will actually use Kinect to control it.

Yeah, it does. I'll look forward to playing it on a traditional controller.
