32X weird problem

My Sega 32X is having problem- it plays every game perfectly except for Knuckles' Chaotix, which I'd really like to play. I don't know if my copies Knuckles' Chaotix were built with crappy carts or something, but neither of them play, while every other game does (Even my busted Altered Beast)

Probably a bad cart. I bought a 32x just to play Knuckles Chaotix- bought a cart for $20-sum bucks, and it's literally the only thing that I own that wont play. Cleaned it and everything.

Funny you should mention that; my Knuckles Chaotix cart is finicky as well. It usually starts the title screen, then freezes after I press Start. Maybe the carts were poorly built.

I believe that's exactly what mine was doing. I would get to the title, and then nada. Whatta shame to, especially considering it was the sole reason I purchased the goddamn 32x in the first place!

I'm serious, try a different Genesis unit with your 32x. Both my copies of Chaotix refuse to work with one of my model 2 consoles (while other games do work). Works beautifully with my other 2 units (model 2's as well).

Some models of Genesis needed to have this thing plugged in where you plug a SCD into.

Do I need that plug thing even if I have a Sega CD attached (I assume not) and mine still does the exact thing as tc's. Doesn't even go past the title screen when I press start. I also know it cant be the cart. I bought one in excellent shape with manual (no box) for $20 and returned it (keeping the manual of course) and found another one with the label all scratched for $18 hoping it would work better and it did the same damn thing. I "think" I'm using a model 2 Genesis and model 2 SCD. The narrow Genesis and the side by side SCD. I have a model 1 somewhere and if i can find it I'll try it on that. Getting a system for one friggin game and then it dosen't work AGHHHH . I did get Kolibri boxed & manuel for $20, but the funnest one has been Space Harrier. I'm loving that one for some reason. I foung Space Harrier 2 Genesis the same day and got both CIB fo $10 bucks, yay. Anyway that is a shitty bug to have for the consoles ! 1 ! definitive game.

If anyone still cares, lol. I tried Knuckles today on my old model 1 gen without the scd attached or a plug thing like in the picture and it worked perfectly. lol my silly model 2 genesis. ( got dynamite heady in the mail today too )
