lol. I felt the same way. Though, somebody here liked it and actually beat it (both of which I thought were impossible). I think it was Hobie-wan, but I can't remember for sure.Pabstblueribbon wrote:Deadly Towers. Why would somebody make a game like that?

Now that i see there are some maps and guides and such online, i've been tempted to go back and beat it. but its so frustrating to not be able to attack for a second when you get hit, but be able to be attacked at the same time. if it wasnt for that, i probably would have tried to by now.

WTF? Really? I just added this game to my trade list last month. I've never heard of it. It looks unlicensed? My copy is really really beat up. But what's the story behind this game?Pabstblueribbon wrote:Deadly Towers. Yup, that would be me. I made maps so I knew where all the hidden entrances were, the layouts of the dungeons, and where the shops and things were. Definitely hard at first and a fair amount of grinding for money, but once you actually got some decent equipment it was playable. I'm sure I still have my maps and passwords somewhere. Maybe in a box of stuff I've forgotten at my parents. An autofire joystick to make quick work of enemies at the beginning and more importantly, not missing when you're near a broken ledge are very important.Pabstblueribbon wrote:J T wrote:lol. A whole lot of determination helps too.
It's a licensed game. Made by Irem, but Broderbund released it here in the US. It's brutally difficult when you start out with your crap equipment. There are broken ledges which enemies love to knock you off, and they take tons of hits to kill with the weak equipment. You'll want something with autofire so you can at least whittle them down quickly once you get one in your sights. There are 7 towers you have to reach the tops, beat bosses, and burn them down. The thing is that there are other dungeons on the way there that have hidden entrances. In these dungeons, there isn't much to distinguish rooms from one another besides an occasional circle pattern on the floor or 'slime tower' enemy. Within these dungeons are hidden shops with better equipment.noiseredux wrote: WTF? Really? I just added this game to my trade list last month. I've never heard of it. It looks unlicensed? So hidden dungeons with hidden shops inside, deadly ledges, and enemies that are extremely resistant to your starting equipment? This game makes other 'Nintendo hard' games its harem of bitches.

If I didn't know right off the bat it was a hidden object game... I'd buy that for a dollar.
