Tomb Raider - PSX doesnt work on my PS3

The PS1 compatibility should be the same, I think all that differs is that the 60gb have the actual emotion engine chip in them for ps2 compatibility, vs software emulation on the 80. But I don't think the ps1 BC has any difference (actually, every model has ps1 compatibility, so it should be the same across every model.

I have a 60GB and a 40GB PS3 and Tomb Raider works fine on both. None of my PS1 games have graphical glitches or anything. They all work how they should, except in higher res with slightly smoother graphics.

FYI my copy of Tomb Raider is the original version that came in the double CD box (don't ask me why, it's only one disc, but a lot of early titles were in these boxes). It's not a platinum version.

The one I have is the single CD version. But I am unfortunely using the most recent OS...(I want my OtherOS back please) Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. I did google this and it seems the PS3 doesnt run this game on some of the systems.

yeah but you have the PAL version. The PS3 has problems with specific versions. For example FF8 pal version non platinum, doesn't work on the PS3. NTSC and PAL platinum versions work fine (well until disk 4)

My FF8 works fine. It's non-platinum pal version.

lucky you. what is the product number? Yes I'm serious there is a slight difference in game disks with different product numbers, and mine doesn't work.
