Nominate New Genre Categories for the Forum

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

My vote goes for:

Platformers 2D or 3D ( this one I want the most)
FPS (even though I don't play them)
Adventure (Myst, Broken Sword and the like)
Run-N-gun
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

I also think we need a forum specifically for guides. Specifically so when a forum member writes one: ie how to burn Saturn backups, how to setup MameUI, how to region mod a SNES, etc, we can update them as we go. Not a huge deal, but I think it would be more useful than doing it through the main page (since we could update these quicker and I could have the forum setup in minutes).

There are several really good ideas here fellas, Racket its on you mate.

3rd a guide section. There will be less of them, so they won't get lost in the general tech/mod sections. There probably wouldn't be a need to sticky them then.

However, maybe guides get created in their normal emu/mod/tech section, then if it's a good guide and enough people might find it useful, then it gets moved into the guide section. That might help keep it so that there's not a lot of useless stuff in there.

Definitely Platformer. And even Adventure or Action. Action/Adventure, perhaps? :D

Hobie makes a very good point about a guide section. I would volunteer spearheading that one if we have to make a restricted topic posting board.
